Pink Dye
Hello!
I missed out to buy them when they decided to add the NPC to pay homage to that cancer society. Anyway, what are the combinations to get a pink effect? Having trouble understanding this table. http://img291.imageshack.us/img291/3...omplete3cd.jpg |

Are you aware that this is the oldschool dye chart? From way before the 2006 update, when they removed dye remover.
Just asking, if you have a few million gold you can probably try and find some, but I'm not even sure if the oldschool dyes + remover are even mixable now that the dying system is totally different. Anyway, for pink, try some combination of purple(s), red, and white. |

General Knowledge is white + red will give you pink. You can also use Purple + Red although this may not achieve the pink-ish colour you want. Could also try throwing some silver/white in with the red + purple. You'll have to experiment as each armor set dyes slightly differntly.

although you would think white and red would make pink, often it makes a dull red, mauve or brown.
Different armors dye different ways. On some I have had good success with combination of red and purple. Others have been better with orange and purple or brown and purple - sometimes with white or silver to lighten them. you just have to try various combinations, even if they seem odd, till you get what you want. |

In my understanding, other people can dye your armour.
Find someone you can trust who still has the pink dye? I know several people who bought stacks and stacks of the stuff. |

1. The preview window won't be available to them, so they (and you) won't be able to tell what it looks like until you put it on. 2. It's entirely possible that whoever you give your armor to can take it and run. Be especially wary of letting someone dye elite armors /armors with expensive runes. So yes, make very sure you can trust the person you're entrusting it to. (Maybe have them trade their armor with you as insurance and them trade it back after yours is dyed.) |

Definitely do NOT do these 1k-per-piece dye services...they're hoping for someone's obsidian armor so they can salvage it for ectos/shards. Definitely only do it with someone you really trust.

What does 'true pink' mean? Are you referring to how to emulate a Vial of Pink Dye? You can't, not exactly. If it was that easy people wouldn't have bought several stacks of Pink Dye. All dyes act differently on different armor types. Figure out what sort of pink you're looking for and do some fiddling with the dye preview.

There isn't one. You'll have to experiment, as different armors dye differently.
Red and silver, red and purple, and purple and orange are the most common combinations to create pink. I don't think there's any way of getting the bright 'bubblegum' pink that the pink dye is, though. |

1) you are likely not going to get anything from someones obby armor besides cloth (and even if you do it is an incredibly small amount) 2) They'll just end up getting reported if they do steal someones armor (leading to a loss financial as they can be doing other things during any time they are banned for, excepting people doing this service on an alt account) 3) you can make more by actually dying peoples armor in the long run. 4) Tarnishing that persons reputation permentantly can put them out of buisness. This of course mainly applies to guru as peoples reputation is more easily tarnished here on guru then in game here one person posting in somones thread that they stole their armor will put them out of buisness pretty much. Yeah....As a matter of fact I may soon be offering to dye peoples armor. |

Untrue, depending on the type of armour and profession the dye preview window is available even if you dye armour that isn't your own. It will show that armour on your character in the preview window.

I would ask for a screenshot of a bandana dyed pink, so you can decide ahead of time if you like the color.
